Re-discovering Hidden Lake

About a year ago, I was on a home search with a buyer and we came across a condo community just outside the Grandview Heights area of Columbus situated on a quary known as Hidden Lake. The photos online looked promising and she liked the idea of living near water. Once inside, the 2 condos we looked at were out-dated and dingy. I did not expect to be back and kind of forgot about the community.

This past month, new buyers, unhappy with the selection of affordable downtown condos, asked about these condos and we set up a few showings. Unlike last year, it was summer and hot, everyone was out, there were boats on the lake and people sitting around the pool. It is very much like a resort. We went in to see a few condos in the $150,000-$170,000 price range, 2BR /2BTH. Some of these units were updated, some with stainless appliances, modern light fixtures, hardwood floors, seamless glass showers, etc. 1BR- 3BR Condo fees range from $200 to $700 depending on unit size and they range from 700 to 2000+ square feet. Current asking prices range between $76,000- $290,000. Amenities include: security gated entrance with attendant, free heat & water, pool, beaches, tennis courts and more. All of this and about 7 minutes to downtown... I want a weekend place here! Prospective buyers will need to overlook the original 1970's exterior's of these apartments turned condos and will most likely want to budget to do some improvements / updates....
